1. Dana's BBQ
Dana's is a local favorite with two locations in the area, offering all kinds of BBQ and sweet desserts. Order at the counter and sit down, this restaurant offers Branson an old-fashioned charm like no other.
What to order- We recommend the loaded baked potato for the main course; this huge potato is topped with baked beans, cole slaw, cheese, your choice of BBQ meat, and as much BBQ sauce as your heart desires!
For dessert, the banana foster is to die for, so make sure you don't miss out on this dining experience.
Thai Thai is a favorite local haunt! If you want to beat the tourist crowds and dive into delicious Thai flavors, put this on your list for your next trip to Branson.
What to order: The national dish of Thailand, Pad Thai, is always a great choice! Their spicy-sweet sauce is unbeatable and will no doubt satisfy your craving. For dessert, opt for the mango sticky rice for a light and sweet end to a great meal.
Little Hacienda offers fantastic Mexican food in a clean, comfortable, ad stylish setting. This restaurant has a great outdoor patio as well as extensive indoor seating.
What to order: The fajitas can't be beaten, with flavorful veggies, perfectly cut meat, and delicious tortillas! Little Hacienda also offers a beautiful Sunday Brunch featuring crab legs, oysters, and more.
Another favorite BBq in town, Getting Basted has award-winning BBQ in a central location on the 76 Strip. Experience the revolutionary Hot & Fast, multi World-Championship winning Live Coal barbecue that has proudly defined the Flavor of the Ozarks.
What to order: We recommend ordering plates to share! this way, you can sample each of the award-winning meats and sides. The chicken and waffles are to-die-for as well, so be sure to get ready to share with your group.
Our favorite sides are the Poblano Cream Corn Brûlée, the waffle sweet potato fries, and the mac and cheese.
5. Wakyoto
Wakyoto has. the finest sushi in town! Each of their rolls is fresh and satisfying, and can't be beaten.
What to order: The Rainbow roll, and if you're feeling adventurous, their fried chicken roll! When I first tried this I was unsure of the choice because it's not the typical roll you order at a sushi restaurant, but this roll was amazing.
Cantina Loredo offers modern Mexican food inspired by the cuisine of Mexico City, in the Branson Landing, with great patio views of Lake Taneycomo and stylish indoor seating.
What to order: Start with their incredible Queso Laredo dip, then move on to one of their especialidades.
For our over 21 visitors, Cantina offers an extensive and creative cocktail menu.
India Clay Oven offers authentic Indian food with great reviews, boasting some of the best rice patrons have ever had. This restaurant has a cozy interior and attentive, friendly staff.
What to order: Start off with lentil soup and naan, and move to tikki masala or another of their specialty dishes!
Farmhouse is another Branson original and is famous for their home country cooking.
What to order: Try their signature whole catfish or chicken fried chicken. And for desert, you can't miss their blackberry cobbler!
Sugar Leaf is our favorite cafe in town! Located in the Grand Village, this cafe is a cozy and comfortable place to grab breakfast or lunch.
What to order: Their creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup is incredible, and we like to pair it with the Tuscan Veggie sandwich! For dessert, they have decadent cakes, pies, and cookies, but we are a big fan of the campfire cookie. Don't forget t stop by their coffee shop next door and grab a specialty latte or hot chocolate.
10. Billy Gails
Billy Gail's is the premier breakfast spot in town! This restaurant is a Branson staple and Ozarks-themed, perfect for large groups and family outings.
What to order: You can't miss out on their giant 14-inch pancakes, but if you aren't in the mood, be sure to try their biscuits and gravy for a breakfast experience you won't forget!
Take a step back in time and enjoy Cakes and Creams, the hottest spot in town for dessert and all the fried food you could imagine! This retro, 50's-style diner will transport you back into mid-century America with all the 50's hits playing, checkered floors, and 50's icons around the restaurant. Out back, there is a drive-through where 50's favorites play while you enjoy a banana split or a rootbeer float.
